IT Operations Specialist – Database Management Solutions

About the role

On behalf of our client, we are seeking a skilled, hands-on IT Operations Specialist to join a dedicated Default Management technology team. This is a senior-level position focused exclusively on operational activities, including monitoring, support, troubleshooting, and deployment operations.

In this role, you will take full ownership from business delivery readiness to production run, ensuring operational excellence and efficiency. You will become part of a professional DevOps framework where your expertise in Oracle Database and ETL solutions will ensure the reliability and performance of business-critical systems. You will act as a key sparring partner for cross-functional teams, ensuring that communication regarding incidents and resolutions is always clear and timely.

Work tasks

• Operational Support & Monitoring: Analyze and resolve support tickets for Oracle DB and ETL solutions, while conducting proactive system health checks.
• Performance Management: Monitor database and ETL job performance, system health, and business process flows.
• Problem Management: Troubleshoot complex issues in pre-production and production environments and perform structured root cause analysis.
• Technical Analysis: Analyze Oracle logs, ETL job logs, and system alerts using monitoring tools (e.g., Splunk).
• Release & Deployment: Execute database and ETL deployments following ITIL processes and manage deployment schedules.
• Documentation: Maintain a comprehensive knowledge base for recurring issues and post-deployment verification.

We are looking for

• You who has 5+ years of hands-on experience in Oracle DB and ETL operations and support.
• Who holds an ITIL Foundation certification.
• Who Is proficient in writing and optimizing database queries and has strong knowledge of Oracle architecture.
• Who has experience with Linux infrastructure and DevOps tools such as Jenkins, Git, and database change management tools (e.g., Liquibase or Flyway).
• Who possesses solid programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, or C#.
• Who communicates clearly and professionally in English with all relevant stakeholders.
