About the role

With several new projects on the horizon, we are now looking for technical profiles to join Schneider Electric. This is a project-based position offered as a try & hire agreement, where you will start as a consultant through Academic Work for one year, the aim being permanent employment hereafter. The first project is expected to launch in the fall, and we are looking for candidates who can step into the role starting from May/June, 2026.

As a service technician, your daily work will take place on-site at various locations in Greater Copenhagen, where you will be responsible for commissioning and maintaining Schneider Electric’s application solutions. Your tasks will include testing and monitoring electrical installations such as switchboards, generators, and UPS systems, as well as ensuring proper communication between systems and protocols. The work requires a structured approach with a focus on quality assurance, monitoring, and documentation to ensure optimal operations.

You will be part of a strong Nordic collaboration, working closely with both internal and external colleagues at various sites. In Denmark, you will join a small but dynamic team with excellent opportunities for professional growth. One of Schneider Electric’s current technicians will oversee your onboarding to ensure you get the best possible start.

During the onboarding period, you will spend a couple of weeks in Sweden working closely with the team to get familiar with the systems, tools, and ways of working.

Work tasks

As a Service Technician (also known as Commissioning Engineer at Schneider), you will be responsible for ensuring that the system's power supply and distribution networks are functioning correctly before they are put into operation. Your specific tasks and responsibilities may vary depending on the project, as you will be involved in different phases and setups across multiple data center projects.

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Configuring and commissioning complete application solutions
  • Monitoring power supply to ensure compliance with specifications and standards
  • Conducting various tests to identify potential issues and ensuring that all systems operate safely and efficiently
  • Collecting and documenting test results and preparing operational reports
  • Collaborating with engineers, technicians, and project managers to ensure seamless operations and close cooperation with clients

We are looking for

  • Has basic electrical knowledge from either education (such as an electrician) or previous work experience.
  • Has a strong interest in technology and data and a curiosity to learn more about the data center industry.
  • Speaks and writes English at the highest level.
  • Possesses a driver’s license and can transport themselves to work sites.
  • Is open to travel and able to spend a few weeks in Sweden during the onboarding period.

It is advantageous if you have

  • Experience with servers, switches, or data centers.
  • Knowledge of SCADA systems (Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition).
  • Experience with Modbus, BACnet, or other communication protocols.
  • Danish language proficiency at a high level, both written and spoken.
