Vattenfall is looking for an Export Control & Customs Specialist

Academic Work is looking for an Export Control & Customs Specialist ready to join one of Europe’s largest producers and retailers of electricity and heat - whose vision is to make fossil-free living possible within one generation and drive the transition to a sustainable energy system. You will be a part of a committed Supply Chain team that is located all over Europe yet whose team spirit is strong and cared for. The position is remote, with the opportunity to work from all the offices in DK, as well as the opportunity for work-related travels all over the EU. You will receive a thorough 3-days onboarding and thereafter specialist after your needs.

This is a 6-month consultancy assignment with good possibilities for extension, provided if all parties are satisfied with the collaboration. You will be employed through Academic Work and work as a consultant at Vattenfall

• Execution of customs and Export Control related tasks.
• Contact Person for questions in the field of foreign trade and customs within the BU Offshore Wind.
• Contact the customs authorities when needed.
• Coordinating customs clearance for export/import through customs agent (Direct Import representation)
• Assist with commodity classification
• Supporting the Export Control & Customs Manager (ECM) in the field of process development, customs documentation, improvement initiatives, audits, trainings, etc.
• Responsible for Export Control measures e.g. embargo checks, sanction list screening and goods checks (Dual-Use, US-Reexport, etc.).
• Establishing requirements for licenses for the export of dual-use materials and generating license applications where necessary.
• Maintaining compliance with EU and foreign regulations governing the shipment, receipt and documentation of imported/exported products.

• Relevant educational background e.g. commercial law, logistics or comparable qualification.
• Advanced practical experience with setting up/managing customs activities.
• Good practical and theoretical knowledge of customs regulations and processes.
• Good theoretical knowledge of International Trade / Customs / Trade Compliance / Tariff Classification
• Practical and theoretical knowledge of developing customs and compliance procedures
• Proven understanding of the EU/UK and US export control regulation
• Experience with Incoterms, MS Office, and Windows
• Good written and oral communication skills in English
